Our hospital provides vital services to Banbury’s growing population
Did you know that by 2040 the population of the Horton catchment will have increased from 175,000 in 2016 to 405,000 people in 2040?
Did you know the John Radcliffe Hospital’s catchment is growing at the same rate? Soon it will will not be able to manage.
The Horton General Hospital needs to be able to accommodate routine acute services.
Action must be taken now. This means investment in the Horton buildings and staff and a real commitment by the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust to provide safe services for Banbury.
That is not happening now while patients have to travel to Oxford for routine care.
If you and your organisation, business, school or town/parish council would like to know more KTHG would be happy to come and give a talk to explain what has happened to the Horton and what needs to be done to ensure the Banbury area has the right safe and accessible services.
Keep the Horton General chairman, Keith Strangwood, says:
“For years our group has been at the forefront of the battle to maintain full services at the Horton. It is absolutely vital that the public understands the ramifications of population growth and how the NHS must be given the means to provide accessible, local services. There is no time to waste – please support Keep the Horton General’s work.”
